Summer in Alaska

I'm liking summer almost as much as winter here in my new home in Alaska. I get to swim, run, go to the beach, play with my best friend, sniff and roll around in fish guts. Wonderful!

Summer is here! This past week was as warm as Juneau usually gets. I've taken on a new pastime - biking! Mama got a bike on loan with a K-9 Bike Jogger attachment and I absolutely love it. We've been out biking 5 times in the past week. Here are some pictures from our Saturday excursion to Sandy Beach, it was full of people and dogs sunbathing, swimming or just enjoying the cloudless sky. Check it out!

Camping

Mama took me camping for the first time in my life. It was so much fun, I got to eat leftover burgers and hot dogs, meet other dogs and sleep in a tent. I wanted to help with the tent so I stood on top of it while mama was trying to set it up. Then when it finally was up I was the first one inside and didn't want to leave. I especially liked mama's sleeping bag. It was big, green, soft and warm. For the night mama made me wear her down jacket, it was almost like a sleeping bag of my own. We curled up really close to sleep because it was quite cold once the sun had set. I woke up at 5am when some ravens started squawking in the tree above us. In the morning I got to run around and sniff all the bushes and trees without a leash. There was no one around. I've gotten better at coming when called and mama said she was very proud of me. Now I'm waiting for the next camping trip. In the meantime here's some pictures.

Daddy took me out Saturday morning and got me on video tweaking out. I like sticking my nose in the snow, digging and running around in circles like crazy.

Mama dressed me up in her gear the other day... we had so much fun! I actually liked the goggles after I realized that I could see through them!
